Navigating a New Era
The Herald Business Forum 2020 will be held at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul, on September 22.

This year’s theme is 'Navigating a New Era.' It will prospect the future and look for ways forward for companies facing a crisis due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The keynote speaker is Jason Furman, a professor of economics at Harvard University who served as the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under the Barack Obama administration in the United States. Professor Furman proposes drastic government support for companies as a means of overcoming the COVID-19 crisis.

Thomas Philippon, a professor at New York University, talks about the future of the market economy after the COVID-19.

Mike Orgill, an Airbnb's Asia-Pacific Policy Director, predicts the future of the travel industry which are facing a critical crisis.

Christian Heller, the vice president at BASF, talks about how to measure the corporate social value.

Christophe André, a senior economist at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) who was recently appointed as the head of the Korean Economy, presents the direction of the Korean economy in the COVID-19 crisis.

This forum will be held in a hybrid (on-offline) way that connects the forum's sites in real time with distinguished international speakers in Boston, New York, Frankfurt, Paris, and Singapore.
